Explanation
Revenue is the states annual income from which public expenses are met. The government has various sources of income which includes excise duties, taxation among other sources. A part from local taxes and fees which are used to fund the counties and cities, state and federal funds as source of revenues makes up about a third of most municipal revenues. A federal fund is an award of financial assistance from federal agency to a recipient to carry out public support purposes as authorized by the states law.
