Faced by an escalated campaign by the doves to get USA out of Vietnam, Nixon conceived a new policy he called Vietnamization. It involved the training,expanding, and equipping of south Vietnamese. Two years after the withdrawal of USA forces from the country,Saigon fell to the communist forces.
