Q: I am a number less than 50. When divided by 5, my remainder is 4. Who am I?

x / 5 leaves 4

The closest number to 50 that will do that is 49.

49/5 = 9 with a remainder of 4.

thereafter just subtract 5

44 39 34 29 24 19 14 9 4

I presume you do not need to go into the minus numbers. There are 10 answers in all.
