Respuesta :

You just need to conver the words to inequalities.

[tex] x [/tex] is the number of females, and the comedian need no fewer than 4. It means that [tex] x [/tex] has to be at least 4, or more. Which is exactly what the first option means.

The second option is wrong, because it assumes that there has to be at least one male volunteer, which is false. The comedian is ok with ten female volunteers, so the second option is wrong.

The third option is wrong because it says that male and female volunteers, together, make less than 10 people. But the comedian needs up 10 people, so there could be 10 people, and this option is wrong as well.

The fourth option is wrong, because it says that there have to be more than 4 males, which is not true, because we have no constraints on the number of males.

The fifth option is correct, because it says that the number of males has to be at least zero, or more. This is almost obvious, because there can't be a negative number of volunteers!

Finally, the last option is the correct version of the third one, because it says that the total number of volunteers is no more than 10, so it's allowing 10 as well, and is thus correct.
