Calculate the water pressure in the pipes at the bottom of a high-rise building that is fed by reservoir 30 m above the roof top. Please help and explain

Respuesta :

P₀ = atmospheric pressure = 101325 Pa

P = pressure at the pipes

h = height of reservoir = 30 m

ρ = density of water = 1000 kg/m³

g = acceleration due gravity = 9.8 m/s²

pressure at the pipes is given as

P = P₀ + ρgh

P = 101325 + (1000) (9.8) (30)

P = 3.95 x 10⁵ Pa

hence the water pressure in the pipes at the bottom is given as

3.95 x 10⁵ Pa
