it is rally scoring(rally point system). As someone who used to play volleyball, i know that there is in fact such thing as side-out scoring when the team that is serving can only score points. in order to win back the point or serve the serving team must make an error for the point to go to the other team
the rally point system is when teams score when ever the other team messes up whether it is their serve or not.
