PLS HELP A GUY OUT. Tunisia Buehrer sells musical instrument and equipment at Let it Rock in the mall. She earns a commission of 5% on the first 6,000, 7.5% on the next 6,000, and 10% on sales over 12,000. Her total sales for the month are 14,640. What is Tunisia's total commission?

So the $2640 comes from $14,640-$12,000. Then you simply do:

6000 x .05 = 300

6000 x .075 = 450

2640 x .10 = 264


300 + 450 + 264 = $1014 in total commissions
