Draw the structure of a 1°, 2°, and 3° carbocation, each having molecular formula c4h9+ (only use bond-line to draw structures, i.e. no lewis structures or condensed formulas). rank the three carbocations in order of increasing stability. be sure to answer all parts.

Respuesta :

Figure 1 shows the structure of different level of carbocations like, primary, secondry, tertiary  in completed form.

Figure 2 shows that the stability of carbocations for primary, secondry, tertiary

Primary carbocation;    A primary  carbocation  is one in which there is one type of carbon group attached to the carbon bearing the  positive charge.

Secondary carbocation; A secondary carbocation is one in which  there are two carbons attached to the carbon bearing the positive charge.

Tertiary carbocation; a tertiary carbocation is one in which there are three carbons attached to the carbon bearing the positive charge

Actually more carbons attached to the carbon bearing a positive charge more stablizes becouse of inductive effect.
