Based on the information given, the trout population would decrease. The more bears, the more trouts being eaten and based on how many bears there are, the trouts won't be able to reproduce in time.

Answer: The amount of trout would decrease significantly if the amount of bears increase.

Even in the animal kingdom the law of supply and demand will come into play. The larger the supply the lower the demand, the lower the supply the high the demand.

To put it into perspective, let's say the amount of trout available daily is 30 and the amount of bears are 10. Let's assume that the bears would consume 3 trout each per day. Knowing that we know that each bear would be able to eat the amount they regularly eat per day.

Now if we increase the amount of bears to 15 and retain the amount of trout, there would be only enough trout for 10 bears. So the remaining 5 bears would have to find other means for food.
