I would have to say not only is it worth reading but should be required. Now before I get lambasted with “church and state” comments let me explain. There is no other collection of writings that has defined and influenced the phylosophical evolution of western thought. Every value we now consider “normal” has it’s roots in the writings of those bronze age nomads known as the Jews.

I would say yes because if you are interested then sure why not. Good thing about reading a bible is that you get to know about the history. Bible is just a Inspired word for god. So if you're interested to know what happen in the past then definitely go ahead and read the bible. But I'm not saying that every bible you read is going to be about god but it could be about some other things as well.
