According to Article V of the U.S Constitutions, there are two different ways to formally propose amendments to the constitution, these are them:
- 2/3 (Two-thirds ) of both houses of Congress can vote to suggest amendments.
- 2/3 (Two-thirds) of the state legislature can request to the Congress to call a national convention in order to propose amendments.
- States may call for a convention
It is important to mention that for amendments to pass, all states should agree.
