Napoleon was a French political leader and military official. He rose to fame during the French Revolution and ruled between 1799- 1804.

As soon as Napoleon took charge in 1799 an event called the coup of 18 Brumaire happened in which the French directory was defeated and thrown.

This made Napoleon the first leading political leader of France.

This event ended the French Revolution and under the cover of the republic form constitution dictatorship started.
