There are several ways through which soil can be contaminated Soil has a minimal amount of these pollutants naturally in them. Generally soil pollution don't have any risk. Whenever their level exceeds the limit pollution occurs

There are some natural ways through which soil get contaminated that are

  1. Rain
  2. wind activity that is flow of air
  3. Flow of ground water

The pollutants mainly composed of salt metals ions, they affect the soil mainly by disturbing the growth pattern and by changing its retentivity and reducing soil fertility
