The reason why people think it is so dangerous to cut down rainforests is because it can affect the oxygen level and affect the wildlife.
Many animals use the rain forest as their homes, they build homes and hunt rain forest is very important to the food chain. Take the rain forest away many of the animals can go extinct.
Us humans can very well go extinct too because the trees filters the air and with that we get clean oxygen and water, take the trees away and it will kill the ecosystem and us in the process.
