It is the largest terrestial biome. Loacted between 50 and 60 degrees north latitudes, seasons are split into short, damp, and mildly warm summers and long, cold, and dry winters.
It's characterised by the presence of low temperatures, thin, nutrient-poor, and acidic soils.
Flora is mainly made up of cold-adapted evergreen conifers that as needle-like leaves (soft, green needles for leaves)e.g. pine, fir, and spruce.
Fauna constitutes of woodpeckers, hawks, moose, bear, weasel, lynx, fox, wolf, deer, hares, chipmunks, shrews, and bats.

The desert biome results from low amount of rainfall on it per year. There are four categories of desert in this biome - hot and dry, semiarid, coastal, and cold.
The vegetation are moderate to short trees to accommodate small animals, rodents, and reptiles. These animals find shelter away from the harsh Sun and its heat by staying under small scrubs or staying in burrows. Most desert animals are nocturnal.
