What is an audience?
An audience is a set of people to whom a speech or talk or text is delivered to.
As indicated above, it is important to know ones audience so that one can tailor their speech accordingly.
Hence the sentences according to the audience to which it must be tailored are:
General Audience
- In his poem, Robert Frost compares two ideas and then continues to use the comparison tthroughout the rest of the poem;
- Ebola, a highly contagious virus, is so deadly that people who test positive for the virus must be kept away from healthy people.
Informed Audience
- Robert Frost crafts his poem using a controlling metaphor.
- Because an outbreak of Ebola Zaire is so deadly, those who contract Ebola must be qquarantined in a biocontainment zone.
