Johnny gets badly hurt from a falling piece of wood and has to stay in the hospital. Dally robs a store and the cops were after him and he gets shot and killed. Ponyboy goes to court for the murder of Bob. Socs approach Ponyboy and Ponyboy scares them off with a broken glass bottle. Darry and Ponyboy  find out that Sandy doesn't love Soda because she moved away and she sends Soda's letter unopened and Ponyboy and Darry fight and make Sodapop cry.  For Ponyboy's writing paper he starts writing the book from the beginning.
