Next, you will be writing a break-up letter of your own! In the past, students have broken up with a color, Fortnite, a teddy bear they had when they were little, an outdated cell phone, political ads on TV or on your phone, a neighborhood you used to live in, a song that you used to love but now hate--all kinds of things (but not usually people).

Keep in mind a paragraph has an average of 5-7 sentences in each one. Make sure you include the following things in your letter:

Dear ______________________, (Specifically name what you are breaking up with).
(Paragraph 1) Tell how things were when you “got along” with this thing you are breaking up with.
(Paragraph 2) Tell what you didn’t like about your relationship with the thing. Give 3 details or more.
(Paragraph 3) Tell this thing that “it’s over”. Be clear and honest but not unkind. Use 2-3 sentences to make your point.
Sincerely, __________________________ (Your name)

Answer: Dear Old cell phone,

I Absolutely love you. I loved texting on you. From making calls to scrolling Instagram was fun with you.

But I gave you a virus and now you suck. You can’t do anything not even turn on.

It’s too bad because we could have had so many more fun times

And now it has to be over. I wish we could stay longer but your virus makes you a pain I’ll just have to give you in. I’m sorry if this is painful but you have to go I can’t live without a cellphone social media is my life, Good bye...

Sincerely, ayannaelu
