Some animals have a thick outer covering which reduces moisture loss, such as Scorpions and wolf spiders.
Kidneys of animals in arid or semi-arid regions concentrate urine that helps in less excretion of water.
Some animals like Gila monsters and camel have the ability to store water in their body such as in their tails and hump respectively, that can be reabsorbed when needed.
