In this task, you’ll study a secondary source and summarize it to gain insight into one of our founding documents. Read this secondary source about the history of the Declaration of Independence. As you read, be sure to look up any words you don’t know in the dictionary. You may stop reading at the heading “The Engrossed Declaration.”

Answer:

This is where the Declaration Of Independence was written, and Published.  This summarizes when The 13 Colonies wanted to declare war so we can separate from Great Britain.  So, us as Americans wanted to use The Declaration of Independence saying (in my own words) if you do not let us become our own Union as a country, we will fight for it.  So The People of the United States signed that declaration of independence so it can go to King George of Great Britain.
