Well, in "The glass of milk" the author emphazise this idea speaking about a boy who desperatedly need food and finally a very kind woman gives him food. This is highlighted in a greedy and horrible environment where he lives the story. textual evidence: He was hunched over crying when he felt a hand caress his tired head, and heard a woman’s voice with a sweet Castilian accent say to him: “Cry, son, cry. . . .When the crying spell passed, he wiped his eyes and face with his handkerchief, feeling relieved.
