A population in any ecosystem is a group of organisms of the same species that live together in a particular habitat, or geographical area and are capable of interbreeding with each other.
Therefore all large-mouth bass living in Lake lure, would represent a population of large-moth bass. Large-mouth bass is freshwater game fish. Unlike a population, a community is made up of different populations or species living in a particular habitat.
