where the ending tells about what is love. I think what he really mean in that
part of story is that he couldn't believe nor image the possibility that he would
experience such greatness of love and he is like in heaven when he experienced it
Answer:
I believe the author means that love is powerful and blinding and many things can be misperceived or hidden, such as the truth or your love's weaknesses and faults. At the end of this short story the protagonist is mourning at his love's grave and sits in a tree, hidden all night. He awakens to find a skeleton coming out of his grave and correcting the lie that was carved onto his tombstone, everywhere the main character looked the truth had been inscribed over the lies put on the stone by the loved ones of the deceased. Every skeleton came out of his or her grave to correct the propaganda on there grave leaving horrible and harsh truths behind. Everyone in that graveyard was a thief, liar, crook, sinner, or had committed some terrible crime or action. The character suddenly griped with fear ran to his wife's grave only to find them terrible truth,"Having gone out in the rain one day, in order to deceive her lover, she caught cold and died." The protagonist could not believe his eyes he was wounded and spellbound, he had grieved his love for so long when as he had died trying to trick and deceive him. A group of people found him unconscious by his love's grave the next day. Before he learned the horrific truth he felt no love again like he had loved this women and could not feel for anyone else; he felt that love was wrong and painful, though he though very differently when his love was alive. In the beginning the lover was so head over heels in love (like on Cloud 9 in love) that he ignored his wife's faults and blemishes, harshly learning and realizing the terrible truth after she had passed. He also, only said how wonderful and beautiful his love was and now he is so hurt and shocked he doesn't know how to feel love again.
