It was a time of growth for the African Americans also known as the New Negro Movement. It took place in between 1917- 1935 and the African Americans flourished. The Jazz age was a result of these awesomely talented musicians. People of the Harlem Renaissance include W.E.B Du Bois, Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton, Josephine Baker, etc.
