Beatrice represents a strong female role in the book Divergent. She goes through struggles of being the underdog and people thinking of her as weak and small during initiation training to be apart of the Dauntless faction. That is not the case, Beatrice becomes very strong not just physically, but emotionally as well. Beatrice is different from others and posses traits, that others in her faction do not have. Beatrice not only is very intelligent and knowledgeable, bit also kind and selfless which allows her to build connections with people have nurture them. Women in Canada over the past century have struggled to get past the barriers men have put up, just like the barriers people put up around Beatrice that she wasn't good enough. Women in Canada have been able to accomplish so much over the past 100 years such as having a female Prime Minister. Beatrice found herself taking on a leadership role as well, Beatrice was responsible for a group of people that she had to bring to safety and collect information that had to brought to another faction. Beatrice displayed traits from each of the factions such as trying to make peace throughout the factions, being selfless thinking about other ,being brave putting her life at risk for others, being honest sharing her divergent secret with others, and using her knowledge to help her achieve her goals as a leader. Women in Canada have relate all of those traits, especially being selfless. Women stayed home took over jobs of men and looked after children while the men were off at war. Not once were the women selfless they stepped up to plate and took on their responsibilities.
The main point you shoukd know is,
In Divergent, The society was divided into groups, And now unintentionally that's what is happening now, Like the society is being divided by religion, ethnicity and emotions.
