They can share 0.6 segment each or they can divide it in different amounts (2 persons will get 0.4 of a segment and the other 3 persons will get 0.73 of a segment). This solution is valid only if they don't have to share it equally. (It is not specified in the question).

1. Split the 3 segment fruit into 5 equal parts being 0.6 for each person.
                                               or
2. You can also split it unevenly. They can compromise to have a smaller piece than the other or the same or whatever size works for each 5 people to get the chewy fruit.
