well first you need to find out how many times a customer can drive around the track for $1. divide 12 into 54 and you would get 4.5. that means 1 dollars worth and you can drive around the track 4.5 times. so to find out how many times a customer can drive around the track for $8 all you have to do is multiply 4.5 times 8 and you get 36 meaning the customer can drive around the track 36 times for $8.
