During the ice storm ice engulfs a whole town including trees and snow. In this small rural town, there are also farmers leading their livestock into barns.
Everyone is killing pheasants since they are frozen and easy prey. A group of boys help the pheasants warm up during the ice storm by taking them in their jackets to the warmth of their homes.
