What is a verb?

A verb is actually known as a an action word or a doing word. Verbs are known to show us the action being performed in a sentence.

Transitive verbs are verbs that work with an object for the object to receive an action. In other words, transitive verbs needs objects.

Examples of transitive verbs are: bring, borrow, raise, pay, write, etc.

Intransitive verbs are known to be verbs that do not need objects. We can see that they do not take objects. Examples are:  "vote, sit, laugh, originate, increase, etc.
