In a cafeteria, 100 milk cartons were put out for breakfast. After breakfast there were 40 milk cartons left. What is the ratio of milk cartons remaining to total milk taken ?

 the ratio would be 40:60

It would be 40 to 60 since the question asks ration of remaining to taken..... 40 is remaining and milk taken is 60 since 100-40=60
