After 1763, the British Parliment decided to impose taxes on the colonists because they had B. to pay off debts from the French and Indian War.
They required several different types of taxes to pay for the war. Both the King and the Parliament thought that they had the right to tax the working colonists. All of the taxes had to paid in British pounds,per the ruling in 1764. This actually led the colonists to band together and this was the start of the Revoluntary War.
