Personally, i don't think so.
The government has also proven to monitor out cyber activities without our consent.
In order to fully protect ourselves from the threat of cyber crime, the best method is to educate ourselves about the safety measures that we could take to avoid it (such as buying a personal VPN or not opening files from unknwon email,etc)
