Answer:

The three prominent philosophers that emerged in the Greek civilization back-to-back-to-back were Socrates 469 BCE – 399 BCE, Plato 427 BCE – 347 BCE and Aristotle 384 BCE – 322 BCE.

Philosophy really developed, with Socrates and Plato in the 5th - 4th Century B.C. (often attributed to as the Traditional or Socratic period of philosophy). Socrates was more concerned with how characters should behave, and so was perhaps the first significant philosopher of Ethics.

He himself never composed anything down, and what we know of his opinions arrives from the "Dialogues" of his student Plato, perhaps the great known, most extensively studied and most prominent philosopher of all time. In his works, Plato linked Ethics, Metaphysics, Political Philosophy and Epistemology into an interconnected and well-organised philosophy.

The third in the main trio of classical philosophers was Plato's student Aristotle. He built an even more extensive system of philosophy than Plato, incorporating Ethics, Aesthetics, Politics, Metaphysics, Logic and science, and his work inspired nearly all later philosophical thinking, especially those of the Medieval period.
