Yes, there are numerous terms in the treaty of versailles that settled german grievances. The most important term is the total guilt clause which mean that the Germans have to accept total blame for world war 1. As such, this causes the Germans to feel humiliated as they think that is unfair. There are other terms like the decrease in military size, large amount of reparations which also settled the German grievances. Not only that, the Germans were not consulted on the treaty of versailles, making it seems biased and unfair. Also, they feel that by signing the treaty of versailles, they are admitting defeat which they do not want to do so as they hold great pride in their country and do not want to lose their dignity.
