Why are bees important to the reproductive success of flowering plants?
a) bees transport nutrients to the plant
b) bees carry pollen to other plants
c) bees beatting wings scatters pollen to the air
d) bees insert pollen into a flower's ovule
e) bees provide honey for the plants

Respuesta :

The answer is B: bees carry pollen to other plants

because we know that bees food is nectar which comes from flowers. Now, when bees sit on flowers, the pollen of that flower attaches to the bee's feet. Now, we also know that bees roam around different flowers, so when bees go to the other flowers, the pollen form the bees feet gets transferred to another flower which helps in reproduction.

I am guessing it could be "C" too but i don't think it is "C" because i don't think bees beatting wings produces enough force to move the air around it fast. So, i don't think that their beatting wings can scatter the pollen

Answer: B

They transfer pollen from one flower to another.
