Kalaysha has encountered a word that she doesn't know the meaning of. CLUNK is what they call such words in collaborative strategic reading. She is supposed to rate every passage or paragraph after she reads it as a 'click' (it clicks, she gets it) or a clunk. (There's a word or concept she doesn't understand.)
