A, B, E.  Around their defeat the aztecs were weak. They had enemies, who wanted to fight them and they did not have the advanced weapons like the conquistadors.

By the year 1519, after the arrival and beginning of the conquest process by Hernán Cortés, the Aztec empire suffered firsthand its ignorance of the forge, when it found knights with steel weapons and armor, to which their own tools of wood, stone and bone could not easily defeat.

On the other hand, long ago the great military leaders had remained, since the Mexicas were the predominant group and they had not required up-to-date war tactics in quite some time, for which, by employing the same tactics of their predecessors, they irretrievably lost.

Likewise, many indigenous peoples defeated by the army of Hernán Cortés decided to support him in his campaign, some due to the option of fighting or dying, while others chose to do so to get out of the yoke and the low position in which they found themselves within Aztec empire.
