The appeal that would most likely move this audience to support your cause is: Studies show that teenagers' bodies have a biological drive to stay awake fairly late at night, so early start times lead to a constantly overtired student population.
Out of all the options, the most logical appeal is letter C because it is supported by objective and scientific facts. Having an overtired student population affects academic performance. Also, it makes it harder for teachers to give lessons and for students to pay attention. Therefore, if the starting time was delayed, students would be less tired and both the students and teachers performance would most likely increase.
Option A: Teenagers should learn to be responsible and not all things in life are easy. School is a training for life, therefore, challenges like waking up early are good to create healthy habits and responsibility.
Option B: The decision that is taken affects more people than just one individual and therefore a completely subjective view won't be a good appeal to convince the local school board.
Option D: The school doesn't need to adjust the starting time so students will be on time. It is a matter or responsibility and probably students would still arrive late to school even if the starting time was delayed.
