Reduce the uses of fossil fuels, and gasses that are released into the air. Also reduce the burning of wood and wood by products

I believe the answer is: buy electric powered car and using air filter.

Electric powered car does not run on fossil fuel and considered to be the most environmental friendly type of cars that exist today. This would help Alec with his Asthma-related health problems.

Even though air filter does not 100% removed all emission, it can filtered out large portion of bad substance from the air. This would make the air become safer for Alec to breath in.
