The bus traveled at an average speed of 40 km/h and she walked at an average speed of 5 km/h. Use the table to complete these statements. What is the rate of trip two?

Just set up the equation and solve for x, that is the time.

40(0.9-x) = 5x
36 = 45x
x = 36/45
 x = 0.8

It took Talia 0.8 hours (48 minutes) to walk home.
