Describe how heat and ph can inactivate an enzyme. (for full credit your answer must include a description of the various levels of protein structure.)

Respuesta :

Enzymes are proteins with a specific 3D shape. An increase in heat and pH above the optimum for an enzyme will break the bonds in the tertiary structure and lead to a change in shape so it’s active site will no longer be fully complementary to its specific substrate so it will not be able to function any more.
