Sensory neurons in finger will start a chain reaction that is passed through the neurons from the finger tip all the way through the brain. The brain is then capable of interpreting the reaction and will immediately send response back through motor neurons capable of immediately moving the finger. Depending or the severity, swelling and bleeding may occur around the affected area.
