The term chronology is a type of detail. It came from the Latin word chronologia and from the ancient Greek word, chronos, or time, and -logia. It is the science of arranging events in the exact order of occurrence through time. Simply put, it is a timeline or a sequencing of events to better understand details of the past when studied at present.
