1. In your own words, explain the role of the digestive, endocrine, and excretory systems in maintaining homeostasis.

2. When there is an imbalance in a body system, and the body cannot maintain homeostasis, how might other systems respond?

3. Give an example of two other body systems that work together, and explain how they support each other.

The role of the digestive and other similar systems is to clean the body of solid and liquid waste or excess. Basically, when we eat we get the energy and fat we need and then the rest we pass through stool or urine. It also promotes a healthy balance of bacteria in our bodies. Maintaining homeostasis means we have to have healthy systems of these kinds.

When there is an imbalance in our bodies, no matter where it is, our bodies will work to solve the problem. This can mean the regeneration of new cells or supplementing certain cells throughout the body to replace the old ones. Homeostasis is maintained or not maintained, so as long as our body has a plan to fix itself for the allotted time, we will maintain homeostasis.

The skeletal, muscular, and nervous system work together to create the function of movement. The skeletal works as a thing that holds all of the muscles together. The muscular system holds all of our strength that we acquire from exercising and eating healthy. The nervous system then uses its mighty power to let us feel ourselves move. If we didn't have all these systems working together it would be very hard to maintain homeostasis.
