Two technicians are discussing proper pH levels of coolant. Technician A says that coolant has a pH above 7 when new and becomes lower with use in an engine. BOTH TECHNICIAN A AND B ARE CORRECT.
Coolants are installed in vehicles to prevent overheating. When new, the coolants are usually basic in nature, that is, they have pH above 7 but with time the pH decreases. Also, OAT and HOAT coolant have pH values which is lower than that of old green IAT coolant when newly bought. 

Answer is B. Both Technicians A and B.
