Charity has scarlet
fever because having swollen glands and a red tongue are symptoms of this
disease. This type of disease is caused by a steptococcusor infection, a type
of bacteria that generally affects a small percentage of people who have strep
throats or streptococcal skin infections. The disease can be treated with
antibiotics and is considered only as a mild illness but it should be treated
quickly to prevent serious long-term health problems. It usually affects 5-15
year olds where the classic symptom of the disease includes a red rash that
feels rough like sandpaper.
