Aren Talcar company charges $55 per day to rent a small car after an initial deposit of $35. Derive an equation to calculate the total cost for renting a car from the company. How much would it cost to rent a car for a week

55 being the slope

y being the total cost

[tex]y = 55(7) + 35[/tex]

Since there is 7 days in a week we will substitute the 7 for x.

[tex]y = 420[/tex]
