Mood and tone are feelings created by the author. Despite the violence in the opening scene, the play starts off with a comedic, lighthearted, romantic mood. This quickly changes, however, to one of dark tragedy as loved ones are killed.

Figurative language is the use of figures of speech to add description and depth. Figurative language can use everyday words to create meaning that is more than what is literally written. Puns and word play are frequently used by Shakespeare to create comedic dialogue between characters.
3. symbolism - D
A symbol is when a concrete object represents and idea. In option D, the poison is not just the tool of death Romeo chooses but it can also represent the feud between the families. This feud is really what caused Romeo and Juliet to feel that death was the only option for them to be together.
4. themes - B
A theme is the author's main idea or message. In Romeo and Juliet, a common theme is that love and hate are two sides of the same coin. Romeo and Juliet love each other even though they are supposed to hate each other. After Tybalt's death, Juliet feels as though she should hate Romeo for killing her cousin, but her only feeling for him is love.
