Shakespeare's Histories focus on English Monarchs like King John, Richard II, and Henry IV and on showing particular traits of them according to Shakespeare judgment, meaning that these plays were no historically accurate, instead, they were made to entertain. Through these plays, Shakespeare dramatizes civil wars and often aims to instill national pride.

1. Comedies mainly works on the themes of love, exploring it and also involves a happy ending for the main characters especially.
2. Tragedies are more concerned with the feelings of fear and terror evokes the audiences to feel, or pity them. But it also shows the personal flaws and eventual downfall of that character.
3. Historical dramas deal with the true events stories, based on the historical details of the character or period that was described. But aside from the historical significance of the time, it also is meant to instill national pride in the readers and it also provide a dramatic presentation of the monarchs that are being characterized.
